Cres is an island in the Kvarner Gulf. It is connected on one side by ferry to the mainland, and on the other by bridge to the island of Losinj. There are several villages on the island, all linked by one road running down the middle. Cres has one of the deepest fresh water lakes in Europe, in which it is prohibited to swim or fish.

Entrance to the ACI Marina requires attention as there is an underwater rock in the immediate vicinity of the Cape Melin lighthouse and a distance of at least 50m should be maintained from the cape.

Mali Losinj lies on the island Losinj southeast of Pula. No anchoring is allowed in the inlet, there are however 3 small marinas. The entry to the inlet is on the western side and the pretty town is on the sunny eastern side of the island. Lots of lovely beaches with crystal clear water.
